My 1967 Yosemite Yellow 1 owner for the first 50 years still has the original tool kit, owners manual, and service booklet. Just finished revitalizing the old girl as it’d been a long time since she’d been on the road.

This is the pinnacle of Land Cruiser ownership in my opinion, I am jealous beyond words of this rig. "Modern" drivetrain?

What springs and tire combo is that, are those 33's?

that is stunning. Would love to see details of how the 60 parking brake handle and EPS were integrated to the early sheetmetal.

I missed the sniper screen first time through the photos.

Thanks! I just love this Yosemite Yellow, it’s such a unique color that changes depending on the light.
The original owner put a Chevy 350 way back in the day. I left that in but added Sniper FI, a 4spd/ splitcase, electric power steering, 76 axles with front/ rear DB, OME 2.5”, 33x10.5s etc. basically trying to give it a modern driving experience while preserving the awesome original patina!

Hey Matt. Honestly the EPS was a massive PITA to make fit with the early steering column and pedals. I had to modify everything...both pedals need to be reshaped, the brackets that hold the steering column, the brace behind the dash, even had to customize and shorten the turn signal stalk. Lots of trial and error involved. It all works great now but I won’t be doing one again.

The parking brake and bucket are actually from 80 series mounted on a simple 90* piece of 16ga metal. It’s sloped so the handle sits level when down. Pics are from a 45 I’m working on but it’s the same set-up as above.

Thanks JP. I just did a 60 handle in a 79 and put it up next to the shifter flush on the tunnel - it works but your solution to step it out is much better.

I took a FJ60 axle housing with a spindle, hub/rotor, and caliper to a local shop to have flanges made to mount on the existing flanges to convert to a full floating axle.

That’s my old LV… It now lives in Puerto Rico fully restored in a private museum. Kind of sad about that it had such great patina!

That is sad, I love the patina on it.

My pride and joy 1971 - purchased from the original owner in 2020 who used it for a plow rig on his property. Last registration sticker from PA on the windscreen reads 1978!
- front disc brake upgrade
- new OE Toyota steelies with BFG Mud-Terrains
- the rest 100% stock and intact.
Even the rear heater and works flawlessly.

I have such a deep love and attachment to this truck. Cheers
