Anyone know a good patent attorney in the Phoenix area? Thanks

  1. Venable, Campillo, Logan & Meaney, P.C. (602) 631-9100
  2. Snell & Wilmer: http://www.swlaw.com/
  3. etc.
  4. Look up http://www.uspto.gov/
  5. Ask about NDA's (non-disclosure agreements)
If you are not familiar with terms, phrases, etc., it is my recommendation you acclimate yourself with key terms of art, and phrases. For instance, there are three types of patents you may file for (utility, design and plant). Prior to meeting with any esquire I recommend you know which yours falls under and why.

Be aware that you invented a patentable product the first to file is who owns it, it no longer is first to invent, it's first to file.

Additionally, IMHO, you may look at Trademarks and Copyrights--these will also be required at some point and are relatively inexpensive to file. But, if you are not comfortable with filing and reporting please use an attorney or expert.

I am not an attorney but have filed with USPTO.gov.

I hope this helps and is intended only as conversation, not professional advice.
