Passed my test today!

I took my Tech exam this afternoon, following a morning review session and passed. I figured only fellow mudders who are into radio would understand my satisfaction

I also took the General class exam on a whim (no additional charge and only about 20-minutes of my time) and also passed. I hope to be listed in the FCC database sometime in the next week or two.

Now back to searching and debating radios and antennas.

You must be one of the 2% that get that far, Or so I have heard.

When I took my General after passing my Tech, I got a whopping 33%!!!1!!1!
BTW, My FCC license was posted within 24 hours.

I had no idea so few people went on to get the general license. It seemed like everyone in the local radio club was a general or extra, so I just figured it was common. I may not have even tried had I known

Having your HF privlages is nice, You will find times that VHF/UHF just is not going to reach someone if you are in truble... Plus it's a lot of fun

I'm hoping the increased HF privileges will come in handy. I really don't know why I had the desire for the General class lilcense, but now I'm curious about the extra class also

1 1/2 weeks since passing the test and still no listing with the FCC ULS

I know everyone said it may take two weeks, but at the same time a ton of people said they were listed in 24 hours and most said within one week.

I know its not a big deal, it just doesn't seem official until I see it listed (and, I guess, its not ).

Yep - actually using the advanced search with filter for my name and state in order to get a smaller list. Also searched with filters for date and name without state just in case the state got entered incorrectly. The exact site is here:
