i have an 85 fj60 that im going to be taking the front axle and steering box out of for a sas on my 4runner. the rest of the parts i will not need. the engine runs and has a 4spd manual. interior is near mint. im not sure of all the options the truck may have since i didnt bring it to my house yet and thoroughly look it through, but i should have what you need. more pics & specs will be up when i get it home this weekend.
for some reason the pic wont load on here so im going to leave it for now.

Let me know when you get it home I'll swing by and check it out. See what I could use. Just a thought but would you really want the steering box. I would think that you would want a mini box but I may be wrong. From what I was told a mini truck wouldn't work on a LC so I would wonder if it would be the opposite.

If you decide that you aren't going to use the steering box I am interested in the PS set up for a conversion on my 40. Might be interested even if you are using the box. Sounds like a fun project. Was this the 60 that was for sale in Warren?

I think Leaping Deer is right in that you want an IFS mini box. I'm not familiar with your era 4Runner, but you may already have the right box.

Put me second in line after vfrer if you decide not to keep the PS box.

Aren't 60 axles pretty wide to be putting on a 4Runner?

im deff going to use the steering box. i could use ifs an ifs box but lc boxes are supposedly better strength wise and i wont have to cut my inner fender to stick it in there. if someone needs the steering arms i will not be using them, probably just keeping the pitman arm in case i need it.

yes this was the 60 for sale in warren. i looked at it as a wheeln rig about a month ago but frame and body have rot.

and pink taco is correct this axle is the correct width to do a sas using a toyota axle on my gen runner. just alot more work than using a d44.

im located in bristol ri so everyone knows. ill post up when i get it this weekend :)

picked the truck up this weekend. im tryin to post pics of it but this forum is a PITA. i cant even post a dam link to the pics i have.

truck is gone, thanks for the diff and easy transaction Matt. will call you later about the windshield.

No problem. But if you're name is Brian who the heck it Matt?

I have the truck sitting in my driveway. If anyone needs parts let me know. JP has spoken for anything that will convert his 62 to a 4spd. I am taking the short block. There is a good amount of the trim pieces missing but still a lot of good parts. The nose is in good shape but has no grill.

:frown: oops sorry, matt was the guy i bought the elocker from on saturday. i had a busy weekend and im kinda sick as you must have heard from my voice today. im gonna go lay down and rest ;)
