I have an 83' FJ60 to be parted out.
The bad part is the frame is rusted out and so is a lot of the body.
We got it last summer for the engine to replace my wife's other FJ60's engine, but hers got totaled.
The story on the engine is this: The fj60 came down from Alaska. Engine had close to 200k, using oil,etc so owner decided to have it rebuilt.
Block replaced. Not sure if new or rebuilt block. Told engine had only 10k on it. Head not rebuilt as mechanic said it didn't need done. Supposedly everything else rebuilt and done right.
Only 10k put on new engine when they realized frame rusted out, so decided to park the old girl.
I'm not crackerjack mechanic, so not able to substantiate story on engine. Just want full disclosure on engine.
Would like to get $600 on engine, with all components.
Transfer case $200
Rear axle assembly with dif $150
Front dif $100
The only things I want to keep for my next project is the front axle assembly and transmission. Everything else can go.
I am trying to make arrangements to pull the parts myself. I would consider selling tranny and tc if someone really needed the combo.
Far as I know the only thing not there is the radiator and oil dipstick.
I've never parted a vehicle out before so I am open to ideas and suggestions. If some smaller parts can be pulled and shipped, I could do that. Let me know what you would like and I'll figure out a price.
Not doing this as a money making thing. My wife has another FJ60 and I am saving for a troopie...
