Edited: 2013 04 30 - for updates, please read in coloured text below.

We have a 4WD HiAce Van out our location in Duncan, BC that is in serious need of being parted out ;)

To that end, here are some details of this little gem - I'll provide photos next week when I'm back at the shop and can photograph it.

LH107-0015651
LH107G-JRMGS
production date: 07/1991

This vehicle shows 161,885 Kilometres on the clock. The transmission (a 5 speed was run without oil and is totally junked!). I have a list of parts that are needed to put it back together again, and I can get the parts readily enough if you want a core transmission and/or the parts to convert your automatic to a 5 speed.

The Flywheel - it's a dual-mass unit [strike], I would have to check it carefully for integrity, but since these things are sketchy at best, I'd suggest a solid flywheel upgrade instead (ie: don't ask about the flywheel unless you want it for some kind of paperweight or you have a weird masochistic thing for poorly engineered chunks of metal).[/strike]

The flywheel is in good, functional condition. I would suggest that you consider a solid flywheel for longer term reliability. We can help you source the clutch parts you would need to re-new the clutch in this unit.

- There are too many parts to list individually, but I will keep track of what is sold here.

- The vehicle is located in Duncan, BC at our place business.

- Our hours are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. We are on the West Coast, and in Pacific Time time zone (same as California).

- If you are contacting us by e-mail please be sure to leave your phone number so we may contact you.

The main item of interest is going to be the 3L engine of course... [strike]$3500 [/strike] [STRIKE]$3000.[/STRIKE] In fact, if you want the whole thing, then give me a call and let's talk. The dismantled transmission is in the back of this unit -

Price Dropped to $1500 (May 22, 2013) - come and take it away!!

SOLD

The engine - generally looks really good, there's a sticker on top from having had the timing belt changed but I cannot read the mileage that's written on it. The valve cover gasket looks like it could use a change.

If you are seriously interested in buying it, we can try to get you some compression numbers - but that may present some challenges because of the disassembly that took place to get the transmission and transfer case out. It did run quite well when it arrived here, and with such low kms the compression should not be an issue.

The interior - has lots of seats...

The 70 series in the background is my HZJ77 - and it is now for sale since there's been some changes in my goals in life right now. I was planning on doing a trip through South America or Africa - but my long term relationship changed two years ago when my former partner left to to try and get into medical school. I've been hanging on to it ever since, but I really should sell it to someone who has a similar dream and then try to find another one in the future when I can dream again...

Could you snap a pic of the type plate, I really need the model no on that gearbox?
The reason is long and complicated, but I might be interested in part of it, if it's toast anyway...

The transmission code is G52.

I can get the parts to rebuild it, but the owner did not want to spend the money to do it.

Thanks alot John! I hoped it was some R151f derivate with cable shift for my Volvo 6X6 project...

I have no idea, but generally if the transmission number is the same, most of the internals and other working parts are the same - there are sometimes differences in some of the small parts that are specific to the engine or model of vehicle.

I have dropped the price on this thing to $1500 - I want it gone.

The 3L engine alone is worth at least twice that.

Thanks John. That is a really good deal. I'm trying to talk some friends into picking that thing up. I want to fix it, but the reality is I don't need it. Although it's tempting to buy just to have the engine as a spare for my Prado.

Are these full frame or unibody?
