ok. well, this doesn't fit mine, i've got the square bolt pattern, not the offset pattern.
so, for anybody that needs it, two things:
1. this will fit 4/85 to 8/87 60's, an may fit the 62's and early 80's as well.
2. lt1 is great to work with, was very accommodating in helping me to figure out if it was the one i needed or not. so, please, buy from him, and he'll be good to work with.
lt1- thanks a ton for your assistance on trying to figure this out. i'm more bummed than you can imagine that it's not the right part for my truck. good luck on the sale...

'nother bump.

Good parts. Fast shipping.

Is either drive shaft a double cardan drive shaft?

u tell me they both look like this. double jointed on both ends

Nope. A double cardan would have two u-joints on one end and one u-joint on the other. Thanks though!

If both look like that one pictured, then neither are double cardan.
