Need help on what to do. Got in the 60 this morning and found the thumb button on the emergency brake was gone. I think it flew off, but I couldn't find it. What to do? Just fixed my rear brakes, maybe that caused it? Maybe the plastic was finally ready to snap? Where to go next is the question. The spring was sticking out and I used a tire pressure gauge to push it in to release it this morning. Any ideas?

the knob was once available from toyota. that tells me if you can find one, you can replace the one you lost.

Mine was stuck in the freezing cold so great way to start your day under a car in snow...

But the thing can be screwed of it seems, I did not want to do that but it came loose and looks like any toyota so find an old corolla?

rotate right=loose (?)

Thanks ill check the junk yards. I found the button. It cracked apart. I'm using my finger or the tire gauge for now. Hmm maybe junk yard during lunch.

You need a new truck, now.

Spike! FTW!

Hate to ressurect this..... Can anyone tell me the thread size for this knob? Like the thread count of what it screws onto. Thanks

Don't know the size but look on ebay and there are lots of funky replacement buttons. IIRC all the Toyota are the same size. I bought a stainless steel one years ago.

Part # 4621-20020-11(brown)
