How do I adjust a parking brake that will not hold my vehicle still on the smallest of grades? Very little knowledge about brakes, so if anything more than pulling a tire off, probably can't do it myself. But, on the otherhand maybe it is something really easy and I can try.

the only thing i have heard about it is that its a btch of a job. You cant just get under and tighten a nut like the old ones.

If it is similar to the 80s then you might have frozen bell cranks. My 60 had it, my 80 had it and last week my wife's 4Runner had it.
