Anyone been up to pancake rock in San Diego lately? I've got a new to me 100 and wondering how doable it is in a stock rig. From some videos I've seen it looks like there are a few sections that might be a bit challenging without some lift and or spirited driving.

i have personally seen a stock suzuki sidekick make it up and down with open diffs. i think a stock 100 series would probably do better. it will take a little gas pedal in a few spots to get through for sure. Just so happens that me and 2 other 80 series are going to do that trail tomorrow morning early. trailhead at 7am, we are heading out from poway. if you are interested in joining us, let me know. 858-900-4814 brian

Where are you meeting in Poway?

I've done it a number of times. You should be fine, a little care and you should be able to avoid any body damage. It's not a long trail, but the view from Pancake is pretty cool. There is also a rock garden'ish area a little bit further past pancake. Being stock you won't be able to play around too much back there.

It's a popular San Diego trail so it can get crowded later in the morning on Saturdays.

I'm doing a Corral Canyon run on the 6th, but I would recommend not doing that one without armor.
