I'm media blasting all of my parts and would like to know what to use to paint the pulleys. I have plenty of POR 15 on hand but I'm worried that the belts may slip. Any thoughts?

It is probably not a big deal.

However, why not phone Por15 tech service and ask them. As well, if there is a bearing specialty shop in your town, perhaps you could phone them too. Post up what you find out...

I'm bettin that the belts will remove any paint you apply and be back to running on bare metal in no time. Been painting pulleys myself the past few days using parts store rattle cans. I have no expectations of the stuff staying long where the belts ride.

Hell, why didn't I think to call them... I just got off the phone with one of there technicians and he indicated that its fine to paint onto the pulley's. He did state that that slippage could occur due to lack of tension other than that he said its done all the time.

I would only paint the face myself. I hate squealing belts......
