I'm working on my home brew front bumper for my Lexus450, and I'm looking for ideas on what to do for a top coat. I have a compressor and sand blaster, so I'm prepared to paint it myself with the purchase of an inexpensive paint gun. I also need to reprint my rear trailer hitch, and possibly a rear tire carrier down the road. I want something that will last for years that will withstand the Canadian winters and assc salt.

Thoughts on what color your truck is and whether you want the bumper to match?
You could always do a tintable bedliner material like Monstaliner, RaptorLiner, AlsLiner, and the like. I personally am planning to do my entire truck in Monstaliner and from talking with MagnetMan (on here) they have stated you can use Toyota Factory pigment to tint to factory color. That is if you want the bumper to match the rest of the vehicle.

I was originally thinking of going with Linex, but a coworker mentioned that there was a $250 setup fee for any colour match, as I wanted to go with the grey colour on the plastic cladding of my LX. If I went this route, I would try to bundle anything else I might want done such as rear tire carrier, and some new sliders to avoid duplicate setup charges. Next up would be some quality two part epoxy? type paint (black) that will withstand the Canadian winters and assault from rocks resulting from driving on gravel roads.
