If anyone wants to come down camp and drive on the beach we will be going down there with Israel (from TTR) and his saltwater fishing club. We will mostly be fishing and relaxing on the beach but there is 70 miles of beach you can drive and explore.

A few motivational Pic's!!!!

Usualy plenty of drift wood but there is a burn ban in effect!!!:censor: Clay is supposed to be bringing an enclosed fire pit though!

Burn Ban? We're at the beach.. We got all the water in the gulf.:D

What the :censor: are we going to cook the hot dogs on man?:crybaby:

Guess I gotta break out the propane.:(

Dude we're in! What time yall going on friday?

Pm with your number and let's figure it out!:cheers::beer:

John one of the guys is supposed to have a decent charcoal grill he is taking and Clay (rhino lined 200 series) is bringing an enclosed fire pit.

Josh just PMed you my number. We are staying with some people in San Antonio Thurs night then leaving for the beach from there Friday morning. I think Clay is leaving Dallas Friday morning John and his familly will be there Saturay afternoon. Brett from San Antonio will be down there fishing and is supposed to come find us Fri or Sat.

We just drove back from South Padre last thursday and used that Highway 77 for much of the trip. There were signs all along it that said "proposed Interstate 69". It was nice not having to go through a major metro area on our way home, we jumped over and caught 35 north at Temple.
Where do you guys enter the beach, like at what town? Have fun, it looks awesome.

We are going to the National Park by Corpus (Padre Island National Seashore). Once you enter the park they have a beach entrance you can go 10 miles north and 60 miles south till you hit the water!

We will probably bring our small propane grill also. We were planning to head down I-35 (fugring there will be more folks along that route, just in case:confused:), but if Hwy 77 is just as fast, I would almost rather drive it for the change in scenery.

BTW.... Are we there yet??:D

WEll..... its not looking too good fur us any more. If we can go I got yours and Brett's numbers.

Thanks to you guys for inviting us. We had a great time, wind, sunburns and all.:D

Here are a few pics.

Had a great time! Fishing was awesome water was clear weather was great untill Sunday when the wind shifted. Always fun driving on the beach pulled several cars and trucks out. It amazed me how people just drove by and left others stuck. I can see in the big city but out there with no cell service and the rising tide it just blew my mind. Kids loved the beach and are already asking when we are going back despite the sun burns. I was surprized at the amount of trash still left from the hurricane the beach was definatly cleaner before. All out great trip if you missed it you really missed out.
