Hi Guys,
I recently became the proud owner of my first 100, which is very much stock (I managed to remove the floor boards). I am eager to learn what she can do without breaking her.

Do you guys have any suggestions for trails or other spots near the Philadelphia are in Pennsylvania where I could take a stock LX470 with my family in the car and have some fun? I live about an hour north of the city, so something near there would be perfect. So far the best I've managed to do are some construction sites at night time :-)

Any suggestions welcome!

Cheers,

Simo

Rausch Creek ORP has trails fit for a stock lux-o-mobile, just don't spill your latte.

Thanks. That place looks like a lot of fun. Unfortunately for me, given I would have my two kids and wife in tow (and their patience is not necessarily so high) driving to this place about 2hrs from my house to spend 1-2 hrs at seems a bit tougher to pull off.

Do you guys know of any places (e.g., fire roads at a state park) closer to Philly that might be accessible? [someday I really do want to make it to Roush, just not sure it can be this weekend].

I saw someone mention Wharton State Park in NJ, any experiences with that? are there similar places north of Philly?

Thanks!

Rausch Creek is an all day ride. Most guys start at 9am and leave the park at 5pm. There are local hotels and camping, but some guys just leave early in the morning to get there. Most people come from far distances - New Jersey, Maryland, New York and all over PA.

Your best bet is the New Jersey Pinelands (enter at Wharton State Park). Most of it is fire trails and it shouldn't be too far of a drive. I enter at coordinates 39.744514,-74.726033. The ranger station is right there at Route 206 and Atsion Road in Atsion.

Thanks for the heads up Patton was a bit too far of a drive for us.

We did go to the Wharton forest and the whole family had a blast! Thank you guys for the help. We're definitely going again.

You should have even more fun when you go with a bunch of Cruiser Heads; some of the best people you'll ever meet.
