Got the P0446 code for the Evaporative Emission Control System - Vent Control Circuit - Malfunction
I've researched and reviewed what I can including the simple check of the gas cap. Cleared the code and had it pop up on empty and full tank.
Reviewed the canister and electrical connections. Appear to be good and clean.
I'm not sure what or how the hoses are to be connected to it but there is one that is ripped off, and one that appears to be missing. The other end of the ripped off hose can't be found so I don't know where it goes. Both highlighted in the image below.
Next cheapest, check the PCV valve at the engine?
I really hope the canister doesn't need replacement as that sucker is expensive! What are the chances that it is bad at 300k miles?
