We've been making some last-minute enhancements to the GX before traveling from AR to Silverton and Salt Lake City for an annual mountain run. Trouble seems to hit just before or after the trip. Last night was a surprise.
Issue: Code P0101 and P0102 with a diagnostic reading of 0.0 lbs of air.
The GX uses the same MAF as my 02 model 100. Swapped MAF to the 100 where it runs fine. Then tested the good 100 series maf on GX. It still has a problem using a known good MAF.
The MAF pigtail plug clip was broken. The previous owner had taped the clip to the MAF body. It worked until it didn't. However, the plug was tight, and holding it made no difference.
Searching for this issue revealed the Bank 2 O2 sensor may be at play. Since this GX is new to me with 250,000 miles, I ordered a set of new Denso O2 sensors. Those are part of my usual midlife refresh.
I will keep the post updated with progress updates.
Last-minute fix items ordered. Two types of MAF plugs. One of these should work. Part No:
