Ive got a 2013 LC with a P0031 & P0051 CEL code that seems to be blowing a 5A fuse for the dome light, i tried replacing with the spare 5a fuse and it blew immediately. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I was cleaning out the fuse box (since it was full of dust/debris) and shorlty after it threw these codes. All i used was compressed air and wiped with a dry paper towel. Appreciate the help in advance.

Yup strange. Must be related to the cleaning. A blown fuse means a short, but how did that happen with only compressed air and dry cleaning? Any other history of electrical problems?

I did have a clogged drain in the sunroof that corroded 20+ connections and those were recently fixed a week prior in the passenger door footwell but would be odd for something to come up now. Also the fuse is for the DOME (i guess interior lights) and not related to the error code I am seeing on my code reader.

I do have quite a few wires that seem to be cut but not connected, this was the work done a week or so ago but not sure if something touched in the past day that shorted elsewhere.

Well, with that further info, I think it’s the wiring job in the sill causing the fuse and codes. It’s not at all odd for electrical problems to show up sometime after a major repair like that. Connectors can work loose. And what the heck are the cut wires not connected??? You have some electrical detective work coming up.

Yeah I do haha, funny enough the codes went away today after a short drive so the 02 sensors and car may have not warmed up properly before that drive but that opened a new can of worms to investigate. Appreciate the feedback!
