Today I went to a seculded area to conduct a test of acceleration with the front axle engaged and then disengaged, simulating stock truck versus P/T Kit. Here are the results:

95 FZJ-80 - Stock 4:10 gears - A/C off - Transmission in standard mode (not PWR) - Altitude approx 9500 msl. Timed 0-60 unmodified speedo, WOT to 60 mph, slightly uphill road.

First run with front axle engaged - 33.4 seconds

Second run with front axle disingaged = 31.7 seconds

It looks like the acceleration is approx 1.7 seconds faster with the system in 2WD.

Unscientific, but interesting. Terry

Your 0-60 time is 31 seconds? You might want to verify that with a GPS.

The only way to explain that would be reduced drag. With that big of a drag reduction, would expect a corresponding MPG increase.

This is an uncorrected indicated speed I used as a reference only. GPS would show approx 66mph.

It appears long but consider it is slightly uphill and at approx 9500 feet msl.
