Sirs/Madams
I own a 2000 Land Cruiser and want to replace it with a 1998-2002 LX470 WOODEN steering wheel. WILL THIS SWAP WORK?? Any experts out there that would know if this a simple switch? Does ANYONE have any ideas or suggestions besides my idea? I would rather NOT buy a wheel from CHINA, Taiwan, etc on EBAY, but am open to buying on EBAY. The price for brand new is too much in my opinion but the old leather has worn through and I want wooden so I don't have that problem again. I need the leather on the sides to be beige/tan and I am not as picky about the color of the wood. I will have to find one used unless someone really needs to get rid of their wheel for a lower price. Thank you for everyone's help and I am hoping I am not the 1st whom had tackled this problem and I am hoping to learn from your experience and you can tell me what my options are, the price and what you finally did. As of today it looks like to expensive of an OverLand upgrade BUT my Leather steering wheel is very close to being a NON=-leather steering wheel and I figure the WOOD will out live me. Thank you everyone and I appreciate any ideas at all and IF I got the years wrong for the LEXUS years that will fit a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser. I "believe" Lexus wants about $700 just for a new wheel. therefore USED sounds good to me but still the price to me is too much for a steering wheel, but to each is own and hopefully there is a way I will learn about getting my hands on a steering wheel WOODEN in good shape
