Hey fellas,

Not sure if I can make it this weekend but my wife and I spent last 4ofJuly at the lower lake. It's amazing and worth the time it is going to take to tip toe up there. We went solo and opted to camp at the lower lake, as a group, their may not be enough room at the lower lake for all the trucks. Why wife is a great spotter and her skills were critical. This is a hands on the wheel (10&2), thumbs out of the wheel, 4wheel Low, two-foot driving (w/closed-toe shoes), gameface trail. At the time our FJ Cruiser had a 2.5" lift on BFG AT KO 235/85r16, aired down to 15-20lbs, ARB Sliders w/the ARB skids made for the sliders, stock FJ skids, rear factory locker. We never used the winch or Maxtrax. Neither one of us recall moving rocks or limbs going either direction. Definitely tougher on the way down, may have grazed a rock w/the rear pumpkin, but no damage to the truck at the end of the weekend. I'll post a pic in a minute

Not sure how many of you guys have compressors to air up your tires but I got the Viair 400p at murdoch's and their price was competitive with online prices. Its a portable one that comes in a bag and it will air up 8 big tires (33-35) at a time in about 30 minutes (which is how long the duty cycle is) Its cheaper than an arb of similar capacity...

I got the arb, as I wanted to hard wire it into the truck, but a lot of people seem to be very happy with this Viair system.

Still rocking the trail!! Camping was awesome last night!

That was one fun trip!! The pics are here.
If only my 4runner wasn't up on jack stands! It is driving now and has the alignment scheduled for Friday! Driving around with a bunch of weight in the back to simulate the future weight being added in the future.

Pictures!!

Here are some driveway pics. Ended up being about 2.5-3" in the front and maybe slightly over 3" in the back, forgot to measure what it was at to start with. And a pic of the adjustable coil overs, I think they look pretty dang nice. Just gotta repaint the rims black and test fit some 285/75s!

I think the tire change will make all the difference on the look of the lift height. You'll be just right!

I agree and I took out the 200lbs of rear weight for this picture to see what it was like. Not too bad for the time being and one the tire carrier and storage box is built in the back it will be sightly more level. I think it will be perfect.
