Last week the car was running super hot going up a steep highway here in SOCAL, even after a full flush and refill with Toyota Red and water a week prior to my trip.

Everyones suggestion on mud was to put in a new clutch. I tried last week but didnt have enough time to put in a new blue modded clutch.

Any clue why its overheating ?

I removed the front grill today and hosed the front. WOW, I couldnt beleive how much mud came out.

I then took the 8 bolts that hold the tranny cooler, moved it front and cleaned it out from the front and back. Then i hosed the ac cooler thing that sits in front of the radiator. You couldnt see through into the radiator, meaning that my radiator was getting very little air from the front, if any.

After all this, I drove it up our hill, with the AC on full blast and the temp needle didnt move one bit. Couple of hours prior to this, the temp need was 3/4 way up on my way up the same hill with no AC. Tomorrow is going to be even hotter and I will try it again.

Im glad it worked out, cuz I wasnt in the mood for a new radiator just yet. :)
