Any ideas on how/where to source a overflow tank for a '74 FJ40 with what seems to be a '75 radiator in it?

Unless you are trying to stay stock- most autoparts stores carry simple kits that would work for you.

That's a good idea. I've been frustrated because sor.com and ma-a-fre don't carry what I need. I would like to stay stock if possible. I was mostly curious if one of you local guys with FJ40 boneyards had an overflow tank not being used...
I practically gave two away at the swap meet a couple of weeks ago. I might have one more hidden in my stash- I will look and if I do your welcome to it.

I have been recently informed by a marginally reliable source that '74 and prior years did not have an overflow bottle, rather they are set up oem to just dump coolant into the street. Is this possible?
Also, she was sputtering today and I came home to discover the belt that was there driving the air pump is no longer. I guess she will sit until I get that sorted. Or hooked and dropped off at sdtrux.
