To Murphy and then trail #1 is the fastest route
in my feeble experience over 10 + years.
Heck it was the fastest even when trail #1 WAS a trail.
Geez, it's now a smooth gravel road for the most part.
I guess I'm just stuck in my old ways, but, if I wasn't hauling a trailer
I'd go trail #1.
Like Granny says though"That's why they make chocolate AND vanilla.".

For those that want a faster route, taking 75 to 515 to 68 to TP and then in is the fastes highway ride. The fastest trip time from ATL is still 75-575-515-60-then out the local roads and over trail 1.

don't know if anyone would be interested.....we are going to bring mtn bikes and probably stop at Tsali on the way back Sunday and get a ride in. Would love to have company if anyone else is in.

Wish I could spare the time. I've driven over trail 1 and thru the Nantahala River valley several times during past GSMTR's to ride Tsali - good to go alternating days so you can do all four loops. Great trail!

Will do, Mike. Is a medium okay? That's the smallest we purchased.

Hopefully, Hard 40, you and me are on the same page. Med. will be fine she can grow into it!!!

Ditto. I started pulling out camping gear today and the Avocado is all ready to roll as well!

well....... I went to get a new exhaust from the manifold back today... 30 mins after I dropped it off the shop called to say they had snapped both manifold bolts off  so now I gotta pull the manifold drill out the old studs and retap them tonight and take it back to the exhaust shop in the morning :D

still don't have a gas tank ready, or a windshield not to mention a 100 other little details to wrap up............. nothing like waiting to the last minute :grinpimp:

Know what you mean. I installed the new shackles last night inbetween diapers, screaming baby, and milk. Still on the list is spring bushings on the rear, transfercase to trans fill tube and getting the shower ready for use. On top of getting this weekend ready for everyone. Get ready to have a basket case on your hands.

Glad to see we are all in the same boat. It will take a miracle to get the old 40 up by then....but I will not waiver or give in to defeat until Thursday night around 2AM!!!!! :)

I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve! :D

Talked to Troy with the East Coast Toyota Trail Team today. He has a big screen tv that he is bringing. If you have any wheeling DVD's you want to bring bring it on. We can watch those Sat night. I'll try to burn the ones I have.

He, Woody and the rest of the team should be rolling into camp around 4-5 on Friday.

Assuming there is some source of water close by (100-200 ft) I'll bring the hot shower for the cruiser. If not We can always take a shower trip over to the closest stream and throw the hose in the water.

There is water pretty close to the main entrance...near that overflow area. I don't remember much being in the camp itself.
