My personal record and highlights (no pics as I had no camera and was really really busy with trail lead, etc):

- Friday we made up from ATL in record time for a group...got into camp, setup, and out to do some maintenance on the long side of trail 8. We cut back brush so the 5 ton dump trucks could make it up to maintain the trail.

- Saturday we had trail rides. I ran the "harder" ride, which went up 6, across 4, up 8, and then up 9 (slickrock). We had a great ride, slickrock was fun (I think carpdawg has some funny pics of me at the top). We managed to plan out three rides and still run into each other all at the same time on trail 4. Tellico Traffic jams rock! :)

- Sunday we had a ride with the trail team and the film team from Toyota that was sending the content to Warren Miller for a 3 min spot on Toyota.com. We had good participation by the FJCs in the club and the Avocado was the camera truck (since I could fit everything and everyone). We went up 6 and got more than enough film for them, so we called it a day and went out 5. We were going to go up slickrock in the Baja FJC (w/ me driving :))...but timing was not on our side.

Friday night and Saturday night meals were provided by UC and Toyota TT. It was all very nice and extremely nice to be pampered a bit. I would like to thank Marshall, Alex, JP, and Henry for the food. It was awesome to have this event in Mcnabb...I barely noticed the drive to trail vs. the windy roads from Crawfords. Marshall's shower made it even more homey.

The only carnage I am aware of was mine (figures). I think my winch motor started eating itself on slickrock (top ledge). I will be tearing in this week and seeing what the damage is...oh and my kickdown cable got out of whack somewhere out there as well.

Thanks to all for a great time. I can't wait for next year!

Just wanted to say thanks to all those who came to this event. I had a great time. I counted somewhere around 25-30 cruisers and lost count with how many people were there. The Toyota Trail team was great as usual. It was good to actually meet Woody. Very cool guy. Warren Millers film crew came out Sat and Sunday. Probably the most difficult thing I had to do was sit down and do an interview for 30 min. The shower on the cruiser turned out to be one of the best single thing I looked forward to each day. Everyone at the event came home with at least 2 things, a nice tool bag from Toyota and a giveaway item from UC. Weather was great, views were awesome, no breakage from any of the three teams we split into and everyone came home safe. And we accomplished a lot as far as trail Maint in Tellico working both Fri and Sat without compromising our fun. Thank you Heather and Dan and all the others who helped drive put the signs up, cut the brush back and thow out grass seed. All in all it was a good relaxing event. Looking forward to next year already. Again thank you for making this event into what it is today. With great members like you in UC it's not hard to have a good relaxing time and something for everyone.

It was also good to have 4 chapter TLCA presidents together and to be able to talk about issues. Thanks Roger (STCLA), Josh Schmitt (GA Cruisers)and Jerry Dixon (FLCA) for making this event. Jerry I wish I could have spent more time with you.

I am really bummed I missed OTMT for the first time.

Looks like everyone had a great time!!

I had a blast this weekend. I got there Friday about 1:30 and barely caught the group going out for work. We trimmed A LOT of rhododendrons, and sweated even more. We made it back to camp without any casualties, except for Steen's beesting. Came back to camp in time to hang out, look at cruisers, and meet more of you Cruiserheads before having some excellent wings and dip. Good job Chefs Marshall and JP.

Saturday, I caught a ride in schmitty's 40 with Team Guacamole. A good time was had by all. I was there for Dan's teetering at the top of Slickrock. You wouldn't think a slider could keep a 80 from toppling, but you'd be wrong. Unfortunately, I was without camera, maybe Eric was taking pics. We also put out quite a bit of grass seed and fertilizer on the new silt traps on 8.

All in all, I had a blast and it was great meeting more people from UC. Wish I coulda stayed for the raffle and Saturday night, but at least I was there for 2 days. It was definitely worth the price of admission. The only negative was that now I want for a Cruiser even more... Oh well, someday...

Thanks again to all who put on the event and all of UC for being so welcoming!

Not my bee sting... it would have been a LOT more memorable if it had been... I'd have swelled up like a baloon for a while. I did stay away from that spot for the rest of the day though. I think it was Gwaag from FLA?

Nope. too busy eating Combos crackers. Grain fed.
I still have fertilizer all over me!

I was the guest driver in the cado, making me be guacamole! Thanks for letting me wheel the cado Dan!

Nope, not Greg. It was Eric (NGA-FJC). And right in the forehead. Props to Eric for taking it all in stride and continuing on!

Great to meet all of the UC guys and gals. The Toyota TT was awesome as usual. Woody, Will, Garret, Eastop(SP?) and the rest of the guys made for a very nice sunday run. Marshall, Dan, Heather, Alex worked their rear ends off and it showed. I had never been to Tellico before and all of you took care of our junk and we all made is back in one peice. I will say that the FJC took a catastrophic hit to a skid plate...actually pulling it from its mounting bolt. All that just means is I HAVE TO BUY A BUDBUILT skid now. Darn. :D

Thanks to all, especially Marshal for the shower...need to get off my butt and finish mine. Great food, good friends, nice runs, and good cold "sodas" what more could you ask for.

and added thanks to UC, Woody, Trails Team and Mike (via sputnic) - I came home with 3 t-shirts, a mud mug and FJ tool bag.

A big thanks to Alex, Marshall and everyone who contributed to make this a great event. Had a blast for my first Tellico trip. It was a real treat to wheel with the FJ Trail Team. I can't wait to see the pictures the TT was taking. Woody, big thanks to you spotting. I learned a lot.
Here are some pics from our ride.

Looks like you guys had a blast, I REALLY hate that I missed it. Whose J**p was that from C.O.R.E next to the baja cruiser. Looks pretty nice.

Dunno just a buggy out on the trail.

My turn to say thanks. Marshall, Alex and Ken. You guys are the best. Thanks so much for all your hard work planning, executing, and setting up for the event. Ken, the motor home was a great base of operations...thanks for the electricity and the coffee especially! Alex, as always, fantastic job on the shirt and the planning. And Marshall...the food was fantastic, and the shower was heavenly.

For those that thanked me, please don't. The thanks belong to this incredible bunch of people. Taking one of our yearly events and being available for the work weekend was fantastic. I know that Roger and Rob really appreciated it, and I really did too.

And I gotta say thanks to my brother publicly for helping me out this weekend. He certainly can be an a$$ at times, but also can be the best friend I have too. Thanks D.

You suck.

hehehehe.. No problem, anytime.

Thanks

Great event, great people. Thanks to all who had a hand in the planning and executing this event. We enjoyed the ride and camping. Hope to see all of you at another event in the future.

Mike Eagan
