Go drive the bypass in a almost stock Cruiser and come tell me how it went :)

O Krap - Please don't start another FJ Cruiser bypass discussion.

Blind rookie - I'm second in line to borrow those keys - let Dan test out the Guardrail Section, me I want to see how that A-Trac stuff does on Lower 2 :flipoff2:.

If you can find any keys I own, sure. :)

Ha! I just caught the post that you're 13 - I thought it was that you just had 13 posts. You just have to endure a little ribbing until you hit a coupla hundred posts. Welcome aboard - at your age I wouldn't be too eager to waste too much time or money on Land Cruisers (least that's what I tell my 16 year old). Focus on school, girls and anything else important :D (note the change to a youth friendly smiley).

Cool...

If you go to t FJC page on Toyota.com you can see the TT schedule...which links directly to the Upstate Cruisers page :)

We are famous!

My guess from memory using Topo USA:
N35° 19.0696'
W84° 6.6789'

Actuals taken from the internet:
35 19.617' N,
084 07.727' W

Damn, I was close!

Gregg are you staying at McNabb or Crawfords? Most of the Florida people are staying at Crawfords.

Wrong, some of the Florida people are staying at Crawfords.

Staying at Crawford's but I want to join the group Friday for the trail cleanup.

OK, so is the easiest route from ATL to go up 68 thru TP to 165, then River Rd?

It will be approaching dark when we arrive Friday nite.

Wise ones, please do not flog me for posting this.... but, I've found the most efficient way for newbs to get to camping on the TN side is to jsut take I-75 all the way to Sweetwater and then into Tellico Plains. it's LONGER but FASTER if you maintain 70-75 mph on the interstate. The view is not nearly as nice however.
This is for someone having to get through ATL, and not necessarily someone who lives NE of ATL
The interstate.webp

No flogging, but...That definitely looks like the long way. I'm just trying to figure out if going thru Murphy and trail 1 is faster than going thru Ducktown/Tell Plains, especially in the dark.
