Well currently I have front and rear slee bumpers, along with a ladder, winch, and a 35 inch spare mounted on the rear as some of you may know.

I bought the Slee medium lift kit for my truck which consisted of the 860 coils. I wanted and was curious bought adding lift. The ride with the 860's wasn't too harsh but it wasn't so cush either.

The 863's had sparked my interest. My dilemma was to add spacers (keep ride) or go with heavier and taller springs. My weight I am carrying isn't changing anytime soon, but based on other rigs who have similar setups with similar loads (shotts, come to mind?) I decided on going with the 863's....

These coils would give me the additional lift I wanted and the ability to add more weight without having to change coils again. Now if I could keep the ride near to what I already had then the decision was a no brainer.

A call to Slee and the coils where on their way. Well first the height differance. I measured from the ground to the fender lip. I know this isn't the most accurate for comparison on other vehicles, but when comparing my own truck to itself I felt it was sufficient.

The results...about an inch and a half in height differance. Now the ride. I was surprised. I still wouldn't consider the ride cush to speak; however it is very comparable to the 860's. If anything it is slightly better. No added harshness for sure.

Along with the 863's I adjusted the torsion bars a bit....This now is my problem. I need to measure the droop, but Ill get it right.

All in all the dimensions:

Rear from ground to lip - 40 inches (inch and half increase)
Front - 39 inches (3/4 inch additional increase

Only slight increases; however the truck seems to appear much larger than before.

The front may be a little too high by droop measurements but ill check. I was too excited to finish it all that I didn't care to quite measure it yet, plus I wanted to wait for the truck to settle a bit.

I just tinted the front and rear windows too. 35 percent up front and 15 on all the rear windows. All in all, my truck got a little make over this week.

So just a little more information for others to search and review when considering mods.

A long post, but with my lack of mechanical experience it feels I take soo much from MUD and hardly ever get to contribute to this excellent place so I do what I can.

PICS!!! must have pics!!!

Wacha gonna do with the 860's?

Putting in 860s this weekend! Let's see pics!

That's Sweet! Are you running 285s or 315s?

now you got me thinking , maybe this is my next mod after reverse LEDs.

Tastefully done! I really like the color of your 100 and those color matched Slee bumpers really make it pop. I can definitely see the difference with the 863's. Keep up the good work.

Yea these are 315's. The lightbar is great and puts out bright white light so it really makes all the small details pop out vs the yellowish light from the high beams. I would say it's just a tad bit brighter the high beams if you want my humble opinion. It's an 18" lightbar and the clarity is sharp. Construction is bulletproof but HID might be a good choice if you want distance and a little more light for the money. I would still do the lightbar again. Heck maybe even another one onto of the first or HID on the hoop Idk yet

Really like the color matched bumpers. Makes it look more stock...but then again..not

Man the T-bars must be maxed out.
I wonder why OME only list the MY 00-07 for the 863 springs?
