Sunday, meeting at Scolari's on Caughlin / McCarron 10:00 a.m.

Rno4x4 Sunday outing.

Wow. 26 looks, no comments.

C'mon, you know you want to go snow wheeling..... If you don't want to go with a big group, then let's meet earlier and head up before they get there.

Or meet later and let them break trail for us....

I would love to, but I have other commitments, it's the FIL's birthday, so we will spending the day with the family.

Have fun and give the snow hell for me. One of these days I will have the chevy in the snow. I need the tires and winch mounted first though.

As low as your belly sits, I think we'd be better off making you a set of really long ski's and just pulling you down the trail....

:lol::lol:

How did the run go?

Jack

Good, with the exception of all the stockers with bald tires, no recovery points and no tire chains that showed up to do an ice run.

HLT trip roport thread...1-29-12 - Page 2

Worked the hell out of that 8274 I bought last year. Wow. That thing is 10X the winch that my other Warn ever thought about being.

Looks like a good time was had. And yes, 8724's are incredible winches.

Jack

I'm fairly certain that 8K 8274 pulls harder than the 9500 Warn I had on there before. Even when only pulling with 50-60 ft of rope out, it pulled hard enough to slide me forward several feet.

Nice videos of you. I don't have much to compare it to but the 8274 on my 40 has done a great job for me. Including one very long day winching out of the Rubicon in 2WD.

After using it for awhile, I won't own another type of winch unless it's a 12K warn, for wheeling hard. The guy in the bronco had a smittybuilt 8K winch and the speed difference between the 2 is like night and day. I don't think he could pull as hard either.
