Many off road parks or recreation areas require safety flags, sometimes called whip or dune flags. Requirements vary park to park and state to state, but generally seem to require:

A) 10’ height, a portion (say 8’) of which is flexible.
B) Mounted to front most point on vehicle.

Question: for those with OEM bumpers, how are people mounting your flags? I envision some sort of bracket mounted to the recovery point bolts, like this:

However, the thought of a wimpy bracket as the first point of contact - and reducing approach angle - is a bit disconcerting.

That’s what I do. Make sure the bracket is long enough to avoid having the flag bend back into the bumper. And definitely remove when off the dunes. It’s a shin ripper.

@DallasTide, I've mentioned to my wife on more than one occasion: if we ever hit Bambi and need a new front fascia, an aftermarket steel bumper is option 1.

Suctions cups...genius. Thanks!

I've never used them but StickyWhips - https://stickywhips.com/
Seems like a cheap solution.
Can vouch for this setup, I use this when going out to the dunes. I attach it in the rear quarter panel. FYI - the bushing needs to be cranked down to keep the flag from moving, something that took me way too long to figure out (I thought I was going to break the aluminum)
