Opinions on a recent 1995 fzj 80

Ok fellas, just bought a 1995 fzj 80 with 150k, center locker switch no factory F/R lockers but I still feel good about it. 5 new B/F 33's , 2 in old man emu, iron man front bumper with warn winch, interior fair, ext straight and faded as they all are. I have to drive it 500 miles back home. What do I need to be concerned about pre trip? All fluids and belts of course but is there anything special I need to be concerned about? Thanks guys, you will all have to put up with an ignorant newbie, so sorry in advance.
 
Gas money, energy drinks, toliet paper and a charger for your phone. Also check your tire pressures prior to taking off. Have fun!

I never seem to trust a PO. With a ride that far I would check:
Lug nuts....you never now.
Tires for rot or signs of bubbles
Also give the wheels a good pull back and forth from the top and side to side. You can feel really bad wheel bearing and steering components even with it on the ground.

I'm sure it's fine but it only takes a few min to do a quick inspection.
 
Crowley has it - just check you have all the OE gear in back to change a tire, that the spare is a right size & proper PSI & a good check of lugnuts. Check oil & overflow tank antifreeze level, & top oil & mark coolant tank so you know if it used either while tripping home.

Pwr steer fluid & brake fluid too, but they won't move much in 500 miles if nothing major is wrong.

The Glovebox book will give all specs you need to get home, then the fun starts baselining it all if you plan to keep long term, or if you have a kiddo who will be driving it, since they never look beyond the gas gauge (or speedo when they see a cop).

FSM & all the big ticket like a front axle service (if not done recent) will keep until you get home.
