About this time of the Month every December some friends from work and I get together and brew up some home made Kahlua for the holidays, as well as the Holiday party's to come.
Last year we made about 11 gallons in one night - however only about 10 gallons got bottled :grinpimp:.

We will be meeting at my Casa in S. Chandler tommorrow night, around 7:30pm to begin mixing, cooking and bottling the black brew. If anyone is interested in making some for yourself for taking the chill off the harsh AZ winter, you are more than welcome to come by and participate - the more the merrier.
If you would like to come by and just sample the product, that can be arranged as well;).

If you would like to particiapte, let me know and i will send an ingredients list.

Cheers!

Hey FJ40LVR, what would be the chance of you posting or sending me the recipe for the Kahlua? I used to have a couple of them, but they have been lost over the years. One way you could drink it within an hour or two, and the second way you had to lay it down for a month or two before it was ready. Which version do you have? Do have the Bailey's one as well? I lost that one too.

Sorry I couldn't make your event, had already RSVP'd another holiday party.

Thanks,
D

Absolutely, not much of a secret. Clay stopped by to check out the process for a few hours as well. I have used both recipes, I prefer the instant gratification of the ready to serve version, since it contains 151 it is ready right away, stores well etc., and doesn't have to steep at all. It might not be as authentic as the storage version, but you have immediate usage + superb taste. I will send over the kalua, and my Irish Whisky Cream we sampled friday night as well (home brew baileys).

How did this go? Are you hung over?

Went pretty good, made three batches, just under 6 gallons - good times for all. (Hopefully no hangovers)
