I posted this on the 200 forum but got no replies so I'm posting here to hopefully find some onX experts.
I've been using onX since LCDC 7 or so (I think the last time it was in Ouray) and the app itself has got better over the last few years. I don't use it daily or enough to be that proficient and one thing I struggled with was having the app navigate and follow a specific trail like Google Maps does with the "turn by turn" style view. I can get the view I want by toggling the compass through its modes but it will only navigate the route like Google does if I manually build the route first. I know how to build a route but sometimes I just want to select a trail that is identified on the onX map and say "follow this trail" without having to build the route by snapping various points on the trail. What I mean is just telling onX to follow one of the blue defined trails (like Engineer) below on the fly:
Can this be done?
The red trail is a route I have built for Cinnamon and connected to California and Cork Screw. The route builder is good and useful in building a multi trial overland route but you have to either do this on a PC or phone with internet access so you need cell service. I'd like to be able to pick trails on the fly when I'm in offline mode and have the nav help me stay on the intended trail.
