Guys I would like to go into 2010 with a presence among some local businesses and vendors if at all possible. I would like to have some ideas for ONSC sponsors for the 2010 meeting. If you have any contacts or ideas please let me know as I would like to make this a priority of mine going into 2010.

Thanks

Because we are a non-profit there is no opportunity for tax write-offs for sponsors unfortunately

Greg,

I have the same questions as Jason.

Stan

Right now I am just looking for business's to approach myself. I will be trying to collectively put something together as to what will benefit both parties in the near future.

Main concern now is who we might approach or contacts our members might have. An example of this is Griffin Brothers Tires which David was able to get me some contact info for.

So to clarify I am just looking for business/company names for which you think would be good and beneficial to our members and that organization.

Ive got the following on board

Colfax trailer and repair ( they do fab work too )
Pipe n Pint -- fine cigars and brews
and I mentioned it to the guys at Rudy's offroad and diesel performance (efland exit i40)

Id like to work on vann york toyota up here, maybe Ryan or Justin know someone on the inside.

We could try God's Country Outfitters for camping gear in badin lake

I know we've already got a tire place on board, but I've bought several sets of tires from Taylor Discount Tire in Greensboro, and have spoken multiple times to Scott, the manager/owner. I could give him a call, if it's cool to have multiple tire places as sponsors.

I would say multiple sponsors is not a bad thing, we're wide state and it doesn't really help our eastern members to drive to charlotte to get tires so sponsors in relation to geoagraphy isn't a bad thing.

Here are a few...

Toyz Unlmited - Toyota & Lexus Specialist: The owner Jeff is a Toyota master mechanic and does good work. He's done quite a few things for me and has always got it right with a great price to boot. He isn't a huge fan of Land Cruisers (more of a mini truck lover) but I think he woul be open to sponsorship as it would create additional revenue for him. He's located in Liberty, NC, about 15 minutes south of 40/85 at exit 143.

Alamance Mufflers - They have done work for me (my 40) my brother (his Yukon) and J (his 80). Their shop is top notch, very clean and can crank out a custom exhaust super quick. I'm not sure if they would do a sponsorship but it's worth a call. They are in Burlington off of Mebane Street, less than 10 minutes from exit 143.

Cars & Truckware - Barry Rhue is the owner. I had them line my Chevy's bed with a newer product called Remflex. They did a super job. They have also done the interior of Will's Red 40 and Will's Dad's 80's flares and they both look AWESOME. They will be doing to same for my 40 over the next few weeks. I would think Barry would be open to some type of sponsorship as he gave me a discount just mentioning that I knew Will and his Dad Ed.

Who has relations with a brewery?? Preferably one close to my house - ha!

Anyway, I've always had good service at Discount Tire on 55 in Cary - I know Jerry has bought a few sets there as well. They might be a bit more corpo....think the mgr is Jeff - I can find out.

Gaston's Garage in Apex - Eddie Gaston, the owner, is a Certified Master Toyota Tech, not sure how much he has done with Crusiers - but he does have a pretty sweet 40 with bull horns mounted through the hood out in the parking lot...kinda redneck, but also kinda sweet!

2nd for Barry...real good guy and does real nice work. He did all the lighting on my FJC and installed the bumper as well.

I have already gotten Sweetwater Brewing Co. on board as a club sponsor....helps having a good friend as the southeast Rep.

I have no experience with them, but would recommend we contact Phil's Toy Store in Cary. They are the only TLCA business member in NC.
