one wire alternator for f

Is this as simple as it sounds? Does anyone have the part number for the application handy?

I did this to my 73 F a few months ago.I don't have a part no.A local auto electric shop rebuilt a GM 15SI alt. and converted it to a one wire for about $60.I had to install an aftermarket voltmeter.It did clean up my engine compartment and has much more juice.

What was the reason for needing the voltmeter?

Are you still using the Toyota ammeter?
