Anyone running a single cat without a muffler? What are the benefits or drawbacks besides it being really loud?

I did a search and saw that a bunch of folks are using exhaust systems with a muffler but no cat, but not the other way around.

Any input?

Thanks

performance?

Would you notice any performance difference between a system with one cat and a muffler and one without a muffler?

How about with a muffler but no cat?

how about just a pipe no muffler or cat? :)

no, but seriously.

Not on the tractor motor. You'd probably see improvement from a tuned-length header, but reducing the back pressure behind the stock header wouldn't change much unless we're talking about a clogged cat.

I have a cat and no muffler. I dont really think its that noisy at all. I didnt feel any performance difference either, i only did it cause i didnt want to buy a muffler.
