I know the Levinson audio/NAV system will play DVD movies, but I'm stuck on the type of file...

E.g., I want to burn some DVD's with music videos downloaded from you tube.

Any help will be appreciated.

Used to do this a lot circa 2+ years ago. What I did was download a free suite of software that included both the programs to download videos from YouTube AND convert them into the necessary file format for play in a DVD player. It was kind of a PITA and took a long time to convert, but it worked flawlessly back then with excellent video and sound quality. The suite of software was called DVDVideoSoftFree Studio. Again, I have no idea if this will work today, but it used to work like a charm a few years ago. If you get into it and have questions, just post them up here and I'll try to help.

Thanks much for the reply. I've got the dvd suite you mentioned...do you recall the file type after converting from you tube??

The factory DVD player is not going to play any native video format (i.e. .m4v, .mp4, .wmv, etc) used on a PC or Mac. The videos will need to be mastered in standard DVD-Video.

Thanks for the link and thanks to you and ihommec13 for the help.

What I've discovered, finally, that works...download the you-tube file, convert to .avi via FREESTUDIO, drop the .avi file into Windows DVD Maker and go. :)
