On Board Air System....

Hello Forum,

First, here is what I have and what hope to get done.

I have ARB lockers and mini ARB compressor under the hood. I also have a 10 gallon Powertank for my onboard air needs.

I want to put in a single air system that does multiple things. Run my lockers, air up tires, and minor use of air tools. I'm looking at the Extreme Outback.

Any thoughts, builds, advice? Location of installs? Pictures?

Hey Nick,

First of all, welcome to the forum! Tons of information on here, as I am sure you are aware.

Regarding the OBA, I haven't completed mine yet, but I do have a recommendation for the heart of the system. Look at the Puma 12V compressor...it is identical to the Extreme Outback, without the crazy price.

That thread also has tons of useful ideas about electrical connections and locations for the compressor.

I would keep your ARB compressor to run the lockers and have the Puma run everything else.

I would keep the ARB and add a back up air line to whatever OBA system you get. Redundancy in the air locker department can only be a good thing.

I agree with the previous statements... I have the ARB mini just for my lockers and a viair for airing up tires. redundancy is the name of the game.
