on a 2000 does the rear defroster switch just pull off like the blank ?

My defroster switch was giving me trouble and now has stopped working completely. I found the "switch" online not sure if its in stock or not. Do I just pull off the old one like the blank switch next to it ? or does it have to come apart totaly to get it out ?

Do you think a new switch will fix the problem Or am I going to have to look at replacing the circuit board ?

I don't think you're gonna have success pulling the "switch" out of the front and replace it for your repair.

It could be a little nub on the switch cover has broken or isn't hitting the microswitch on the PCB correctly, or you could try cleaning in around the microswitch on the PCB.
