So according to the news this thing passed the house, can someone paying closer attention download what this would mean to us in the SW? All the news I'm seeing is very Sierra Club slanted. Yes, I know I should be more aware, but I've been a bit sidetracked.

My undestanding on an immediate local scale is that it protect Fossill creek from public development and will restrict any diverting or damming of the creek. Importantly, the public will have normal access as usual. This is a beautiful area and glad it will be kept from being taken over by potential developers.
In the big picture, I am not sure what other effects this new passage will have as I need to look into and see if there are some side legislation that coattailed on this deal.
