OME 861/862 with OEM shocks?

Greetings - I recently purchased a '94 FZJ80 (113K miles, locked) and am looking to replace the tired stock springs. The front end sags a bit and I'd really like to get her level with a small amount of lift.

This has probably been answered (and I have searched), but can't seem to find a definitive answer...

Question is can I use OEM shocks with the OME 861/862 lo lift springs? The PO replaced the shocks (no idea why springs were not replaced), and I'd rather not spend $$ that I don't need to. Any downside to this? I don't plan on doing a ton of wheeling, just some kayak and fishing trips in the backcountry.

Thanks

I don't see a reason it wouldn't work.

What are the 861/862 springs? Is this the stock ride height springs?
My first suspension modification was springs only, 851/860 (medium 2.5") and I used the factory shocks. Let the flaming begin, but I never had a problem with the setup for over 6 months and wheeled it in Tellico and the like.
Of course, when I found sweet deals on shocks off ebay the ride got better and the articulation did too, but dang I'm poor and things gotta come in waves...

The 861/862 is stock height. Just took those off my truck. OEM shocks should work just fine.

Thanks

This is my current set up. The truck rides quite nice - best compromise between comfort and handling in my opinion.

Other combinations that I had tried before:

. OEM shocks with OEM springs ==> too soft IMHO
. OME N73/N74E shocks with OEM springs ==> just a tad better in handling; but still a lot side to side rocking on highways.
. OME N73/N74E shocks with OME 861/862 springs ==> worlds difference in handling and comfort, especially when loaded. However, I received too much of the road feedback to my taste riding alone, at slow speed over those road imperfections and expansion joints - Thus the current configuration.

Hope this helps,
Frank.
