Well I put on new shocks this weekend to help my Bounce:bounce:problem. The Rancho 5000's i had were 13 years old and I thought they were the problem. So i got the Procomp from SOR which is where the 3 inch heavy duty lift kit was orgionally from. SOR did a great job shipping then and i have no complaint with them. But with the new procomp shocks installed i still have the :bounce2: bounce!! They seem to be slightly more bouncy than the old ranchos. The Ranchos still seemed good when i pulled them off so I am kind of mad that i bought the new ones when I could have kept the old ones on. I then thought that the tire pressure was too high at 35psi so i lowered the pressure and :bounce2: :bounce: now have double bounce! Grrrrrr! Going to put the 33x10.5 BFGs to 40lbs to see of can get rid of one bounce. Makes me sad as i just can't afford new suspension and i do love to drive it around but with all the bouncing it makes me and the family really tired. Makes me want to sell the thing. Oh well.

Could be a few things causing your bounce problem. How old are the springs / bushings /and such items? How far out of round could your tires be ? Maybe a rim or 2.

This is pretty good ride when there are no bumps in the road so i can rule out bad rims but the suspension is also 13 years old and probaly the problem. Would adding a leaf make it firmer or should i take one out or is not possible to do that? It is my only leaf spring vehicle and I am used to Old VW's as i own bunches of them.
thanks

I have some add a leafs that you can have that i just took out of my 40. They are the long ones. They already have some age on them so i'm not too sure if you will get any lift out of them though.

They should fit, tell me what the width of your spring are and i can tell you for sure.

I really do not think these will give you much lift.

If you do something like this be prepared to buy new center pins and new u bolts.

Taking out springs will soften up the ride a bit.

Depending on what kind of springs you have in there will say what kind of ride you will get. AFAIK the more springs in a pack the harsher of a ride it will be. I have known to be wrong though.

One way or another i am getting rid of these springs so if you or anyone else do not want them they are going to the dump. I am tired of them already.
