who knows a a good shop that will install an OME lift on a FJ Cruiser... I'm over in Poulsbo so the choices I'm finding are limited and would like recommendations from others... anywhere in the Puget Sound area is fine... Even Portland...

BTW: Check out www.LastGreatRoadTrip.com for results of your answers... Pics of the rig coming soon.

4 WheelDrive parts in Tacoma installed mine and they did a super job, had it offroad this past Sunday and I'm very happy...!

I would help you do the install... I'm not a professional, but it should be a pretty easy kit to install. I wouldn't mind helping you if you wanted to bring it by. You would have to pay for an alignment after we were done. I'm stuck working for the next two weeks or so strait, if you want to wait I'll help you. Other wise any shop should be able to put it in. It's not a hard lift to install. Some shops won't install a lift that you bring them, they only want to install things you buy from them. Just call around and ask, there are lots of shops that should be able to do it. Central 4x4 in Kent is a great shop, may be a bit of a drive for you. Also, some of the Toyota dealers would probably do it as well, I think the one in Olympia was going to look into selling the kits, maybe check with them. I know they offered us a club discount. Maybe they will give you a deal if you are the first to have the kit installed by them...

Thank you for the shop input

I appreciate all the good input. Turns out I got hooked up with Metaltech 4x4 out of Portland (Newburg really). Since I make the trip to Portland every month or so and the lack of sales tax on the mods will more than pay for the trip :-) I decided to take a freinds recommendation and I've scheduled some time with them.

Thank you again for the shop suggestions and look for pictures of the my rig at road trip adventure blog (www.lastGreatRoadTrip.com)

lgrt,

If it doesn't work out with Metaltech, let me know. I have not worked on the FJ Cruiser, but have done quite a bit of work on Land Cruisers. I don't have a direct line on ARB stuff yet but usually use Kurt at Cruiseroutfitters for parts such as that. He has great prices and excellent service.

You will be very happy though with the work they do down there.

Brandon

close the loop.

Thank you everyone again for the input. I wanted to close the loop in case someone down the road has a similar question.

The guys at Metal Tech are great. Mark and LT put on the new coil overs, bull bar and winch all in a day. These guys went out of their way for me. And since there is no sales tax in Oregon the trip was free. Highly recommend these guys to anyone.

You can find pic of the rig with it's new look on my adventure road trip blog (lastgreatroadtrip.com) I still need to decide on tires. Check in on the blog and you'll see the rig keep evolving with a few more mods left to go.

Thanks again for all the input.
