Chris, that rear axle assembly is so F-ed up, maybe we should just swap a whole assembly out of one of these parts trucks.
That way the backing plates & p-brakes could be repaired, cleaned , painted, seals & bearings replaced.
Then we swap in the fresh housing, swap the diff in, hook it up & drive.

Still easy to do since you had the leaf springs loose yesterday.

You can have the rear housing assembly for scrap value ($.10/lb). They usually go to the crusher, cause there's not much demand. Worth more in scrap value than taking up floorspace in my tiny shop.
