So after replacing the serp belt and some other things, I get it back together and the starter craps out......that sucks, I should be in Death Valley right now.

Anyway, I pull the manifold off and it is an oily mess inside, with a bit of oil pooled in the corner of the manifold as I had it propped up to get to the starter. I have only had this ride for 5k miles. I hope I don't have excessive blow-by coming in via the PCV valve. I recently changed the plugs and only looked just a bit oily, but not severe at all.

Has anyone had something like this?

Why not change the PCV valve and do a oil change. A bad PCV valve will increase crankcase pressure, they usually get blocked if oil change intervals have been ignored.
