Hey,

Is there anyone in CLCC who has an oil pan for a fj60 they want to sell?

What's wrong with yours? I have heard of people repairing small dents, or just ignoring them.

The plug hole is bent enough to be causing a significant oil leak. Rubber washers don't help. Otherwise it wouldn't bother me.

Cruiserparts didn't have any used ones.

The next time you change the oil re-install the drain plug and clean the area around the plug. Use some silicone around the plug. My previous 40 had the leaky pan syndrome and it worked for me. That pan is a heavy sob if you are working alone so you might want to try this first. Just my .02

Yes oil pans are a bitch.

I tried to remove my oil pan to replace the gasket, but I ran into a little problem...

The ?clutch inspection cover? blocks the back few oil pan bolts. So I removed the 8 or so bolts and pulled it down... ding... OH CRAP... it hits the exhaust pipe! It's totally wedged/blocked in! I'll need to have the exhaust re-routed a couple of inches outboard between the header and the skid plate so I can remove the cover to get to the oil pan!

On top of that, I've been trying to drill an easy-out out of my engine block for three days. Snapped a bolt head off tightening the side cover months ago. Decided to pull the side cover, remove the broken bolt, replace the gasket, etc due to the resulting oil leak. Now every drill bit I own smaller than 1/4 is dull or broken and I'm only 2/3 through it. I'll never use an easy-out again!

Time to quit whining and get some sleep.
