SOLD Oil Pressure Receiver Unit

*1989 24V BJ73 with 3BII engine*

Well my oil pressure receiving unit (in instrument cluster) fried after an emissions test. My guess is that it was on its way out and the higher than average oil pressure during high rev testing caused it to finally overheat and short.

Repair seems difficult unless I could find a way to replace the filament / metal strip components.. More unfortunate is that this is is seeming like a very tough part to replace.

Anyone have any sources for these things? The Toyota part # is 83246-90K02.

I might have one that's 24 volt, but we have had success actually working the filament back to normal operation. This kind of thing normally only happens when the oil pressure sending unit wire gets grounded (for example if someone hooks the sending wire to ground on the unit).

Yeah, it really does look like it has gone wide open.. A chunk of melted plastic and and there was some condensation under the gauge cover right after it happened. I did find an exposed (but still intact) wire on the hot lead to the pressure send unit, so that could be the culprit if it found a way to ground.

The only thing I could find to fix was a section of filament which was caught in the melted plastic. I reattached and will see if that fixes it.

83246-60080 seems similar (has additional idjit light for oil pressure) but seems to be more available.

Turns out this is for a 12V system. 24V version is 83246-60060

Bumping this thread. Still no luck sourcing a 24V oil pressure receiving gauge, even the newer part, 83246-60060, is nowhere to be found.

Anyone have anything? I am of course willing to pay. Thanks!

I buy on ebay a grille on title say LC100 grille but in picture show for LC79 grille model...I was on hold for 1 month until I arrived and yes, it was a beautiful chrome lc79's grille.
