I have a 93 LC, supercharged with 140K on it. I changed the oil and used Castrol 10w-40 and a purolater filter. I am going to add a oil press guage ...but I was driving today and the oil light came on for a minute....the stock oil press guage was about 3/4 the way up like normal at driving rpm/speed, I pulled over checked the oil level...it's fine. The light is off now, but what could that mean?.....yes I'm a newb.

Mine comes on after 2 miles from a cold start for about 1 minute if the oil level is low, then goes out, pressure gauge always reads fine when light is on.
The oil level gauge can be incredibly sensitive.
In my '96 it comes on when it reaches maybe 1/8th of a quart low. Still well within normal range on the dip stick.
Unfortunatly they're not easy to replace (unlike the oil pressure gauge).

The level sensor is quite easy to replace. It IS very expensive however. The current list price is well north of 300 bucks.
