Oil level

I had a tune up recently and from looking at my bill my mechanic put in an engine treatment. Now I see my engine oil level is about a half inch above the full mark. I am fairly certain it wasn't like this before the tune up as I am very diligent about checking the oil level. Couple of questions with this:
- is engine treatment added with the oil?
- if it is added with the oil, I assume it won't do anything by being overfilled?
- if it is oil overfilled will a half inch above full do damage? Should I drain some?

Yes, it's added with oil. No it shouldn't be above the full mark. If it was mine I'd drain it back down to the proper level. I would imagine that the treatment is only 200-300 ml so in all honesty it won't hurt anything.

If it were me, I'd definitely bring the oil level down to spec.

Engine treatment could be a gas treatment too, added to the gas tank. Did the tune up include an oil change?
