Oil in fuel filter

I got a 76 series Landcruiser and while checking the fuel from the filter i noticed that there was oil mixed in with it? My question is, what do i do to prevent that from happening? And, Is that a major issue?

What kind of oil? Was it put in the fuel tank , or are you actually looking at the oil filter..
