Sorry about the late date posting; going to TX had me preoccupied.
Everyone in CA that buys gas puts a penny a gallon into an OHV grant fund. That money is distributed every year thru a grant program. Even in the face of massive budget problems, Sacramento is currently holding 50 million in it's trust fund for our OHV uses. WOW!
The grant applications were due in by March 2nd, with public comment period running until about April 5th IIRC. As I reported in one of my previous posts on the BLM, the Ridgecrest office has applied for no less than six grants for help managing and improving recreational opportunities in the west Mojave. The Friends of Jawbone, another group that I have been supporting, has also submitted three grant applications, two for trail work and one for an electronic message billboard. Please take a few minutes to check out these grants and provide some positive imput if you can.
Here are the access instructions:
Three easy steps to follow up on Grants. Please cut and paste the link and it will take you directly to the pages you need. Thanks. ED
EGrAMS : Public Review to find grants application
Then click on Grants program
Then click on brown box
Then click on Find
Then select grant you want and to open click on project simple on right side
Then select the project you want by clicking on paper clip on right side.
Thanks!
