Oh so little squeal

I'm hearing a small squeal when driving. It sound like a brake squeal, accept my brakes are not on. It doesn't squeal too much when I do use my brakes. Are my pads getting low? NO CLUE?

I had something like this before on my old Nissan truck - it's possibly a slipped shim (the things that are supposed to keep brakes from squealing in the first place).

My truck slipped a shim, and gave me this squealing noise for about 2 weeks before I was able to get it looked at, and found that it'd been chewing the inner diameter of my rotor, and I needed a new one.

It too, seemed to quiet down when I pressed the brakes, still not sure why though.
